When you create an account with TippingBucket.org, we only ask you to create a login, password, and give us an e-mail address. The login and password are created to ensure that only you can donate through your account with the Tipping Bucket.
Credit Card Information
When you enter your credit card information on our website, it is not stored on the TippingBucket.org servers. It is entered through Authorize.net, a secure payment gateway. They store your information in secure cyber vault and give us 'Tokens' every time you enter a donation. When a bucket tips, we redeem these Tokens, and Authorize.net runs the transaction through their trusted merchant account. This way, you credit card information is completely secure, and is guaranteed by authorize.net.
Cookie/Tracking Technology
Tipping Bucket uses cookie and tracking technology so you can log in, and so we can keep track of how our site is doing. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the Site, and understanding how visitors use the Site. Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, when you create a login, cookies are tied to that information.
