75 years ago, Chandrapata, Nepal was nothing more than a cemetery but has since developed into a small village of 450 people. Over the past few years they have worked with CHOICE Humanitarian to continue to develop their community with a priority of upgrading their education system and helping surrounding villages do the same. Their enthusiasm for development easily spreads to neighboring villages and they are an example to the whole Lamjung district.

Bishnu Adhikari

In-Country Director, Nepal

Bishnu Adhikari is the In-Country Director for CHOICE Humanitarian in Nepal and has 20 years experience working in rural development. Bishnu grew up in a very rural village in Nepal and knows what it means to be poor. He has risen to receive two Master Degrees; one in Civil Engineering and another one in Environmental Policy and is now using his education to help his country. He is passionate about the CHOICE model of ending poverty and has been the voice of CHOICE since the beginning of operations in Nepal in 1999.
