Art therapy sessions underway...
Hi all! Wanted to give you an update:
We raised $400 with the Tipping Bucket and spent about $410 on the art supplies needed for the Center for Women and Children in Crisis. We tried to purchase items that would be of most assistance and last the longest. We also ordered a box of play therapy toys, something they had specifically requested. After it was delivered and before it was picked up, it was stolen! So after UPS launched an investigation, they refunded the package and it was shipped again at no additional cost! What a blessing!
So after all the fiasco was over, a group of Courage to Hope volunteers delivered the supplies to United Way (since the location of the shelter is secure, that's the only part we can show pictures of)
They were very grateful and were excited to put these much needed supplies to good use.
Thank you for allowing us to bless the lives of those women who struggle in our own community. Often with philanthropy, our backyard is overlooked when searching overseas for the destitute. Teaming up with Tipping Bucket has allowed us to do what we can to assist in alleviating that pain and continuing in our mission to foster a world free of domestic violence through engagement, empowerment and education.
We look forward to doing another bucket with Ukraine!

Project Description:
One in three women globally will be a victim of domestic violence--unless we get involved. While Courage to Hope focuses our work in Ukraine, we understand that it is a worldwide problem--local and international. This specific project is focusing on assisting Utah shelters.
We need $400 to fund an art therapy program for a Utah County domestic violence shelter. Art therapy has been used for over 60 years as a clinical treatment to help victims express themselves when words just aren't enough. Artists and volunteers will visit the shelter and together with the women and children, explore emotions, provide support, and foster healthy relationships. Please visit our website and don't just donate a dollar; donate your time and get involved. Come see your funds at work.
BUDGET:
1 session per month May-August and 2 sessions per month September-April
$20 per session for materials such as paper, paints, glue and craft materials.
